A leading newspaper of the Democratic People's Republic of Korea (DPRK) on Sunday commemorated the noble spirit displayed by the valiant Chinese People's Volunteers (CPV) and the exploits performed by them, on the accasion of the 54th anniversary of the CPV's entry into the Korean war front (Oct. 25, 1950).
The noble spirit and exploits of the CPV will shine in the annals of the DPRK-China friendship generation after generation, said the Minju Joson newspaper in a signed article dedicated to the day of the CPV entry.
"The CPV's entry into the Korean war front immensely encouraged the Korean people in the grim days. The Korean people always remember the matchless heroism, valor and indomitable self-sacrificing spirit displayed by the courageous CPV in the Korean war," the article said.
Today, the Korean people sincerely hope the Chinese people will register greater success in their future work for the prosperity of the nation and the reunification of the country, the article said.
To boost the friendly relations between the two countries fully conforms with the aspiration and interests of the two peoples and it is the consistent stand of the Workers' Party of Korea and the government of the DPRK to value and develop down through generations the friendship between the DPRK and China, the article said.
"This bilateral friendship will grow stronger in all fields thanks to the joint efforts of the parties, governments and peoples of the two countries," the article stressed.
