The U.S. military released a picture of slain Abu Musab al-Zarqawi, the most wanted terrorist and al Qaida's leader in Iraq, on Thursday.
Major General Bill Caldwell, spokesman for the U.S. forces in Iraq, showed the image of a bearded Zarqawi at a televised news conference in Baghdad. He was killed during a U.S. air strike near Baquba, 60 km north of Baghdad, on Wednesday.
Two F-16 warplanes dropped two 500-pound bombs on the safe house where al-Zarqawi was killed along with his seven followers, Caldwell said.
