Brazil's Defense Minister Nelson Jobim announced on Wednesday evening that Air Force planes managed to spot some internal parts of the crashed Air France Airbus on the Atlantic Ocean.

Mercantile and Brazilian Navy ships searching the zone where wreckage was spotted, are collecting the materials for analysis. The objects will be delivered to the French government which leads the investigations, according to the Minister.

Jobim said neither bodies nor survivors have been found so far. Though the Brazilian authorities are bent on finding bodies, that may prove to be a difficult task, with the waters being between 2,000 to 3,000 meters deep in the crash area.

Additionally, the coast of Pernambuco state where the crash site is located, is known for the presence of sharks, which may complicate the situation.

What caused the Airbus to fall remains a mystery. The search teams are tracing oil tracks to determine whether the Airbus exploded in the air or not. "If we have oil stains, it means the oil didn't burn." Jobim said.

Earlier reports indicated that the Airbus encountered depressurization and electrical problems just before the crash. Besides, it also experienced massive air turbulence.
